n fraction in patients with diabetes mellitus, and analyzed the difference of the results from those of normal people and the relation between the results and the complications of diabetes mellitus. In plasma protein fraction, α_2, β_1 and β_2 grobulin fractions of the patients were higfer than those of normal people. In plasma glycoproteinfraction, α_1, β_1 and β_2 grobulin fractions of the patients were higfer than those of normal people. And then, the examined plasma glycoprotein fractions were classified into five groups by the differences of the figure of fraction, and the results of such classification suggested that the each group had significant relation to the complications of diabetes mellitus.

y tests change with aging. We studied the difference of the results in serum protein fraction and several clinical chemistry tests between normal adults and old people, and between the healthy old people and bedridden old people. As a result, there was increase of albumin and decrease of globulin in serum protein fraction of the old people compared with that of the normal adults. The results of total protein, cholinesterase, creatinine, and β2-microglobulin in clinical chemistry tests made a significant difference between the old people and the normal adults. The results of creatinephosphokinase, total cholesterol, and zinc sulfate turbidity test made a significant difference between the healthy old people and the bedridden old people. And then, a serum sample having the fraction seemed to be M protein was found serum protein fraction. We analysed it by several electrophoretic analysis, and found that the result was differed from that of other samples.

teractions between the platelet and its external milieu. In patients with inherited of secondary bleeding disorders, it is important to analyse platelet glycoproteins. In this study, samples of SDS-solubilized platelets were analyzed by SDS-PAGE using commercial 4-12% gradient acrylamide mini gel, in because we considered that the commercial mini gel was also able to be used analysis of platelet glycoproteins after camparing it with a 16×18cm area of 7.5% acrylamide gel. three patients with failure of platelet function were investigated by PAS-staining method and densitometry and by western immunoblotting method with anti-human platelet glycoprotein monoclonal antibodies. We suggest the process was performed easily and usefully by using SDS-PASE and immunoblotting methods to detect platelet glycoprotein abnormalities.

With this method, urine specimens from normal human subjects containing about 10mg of protein/dl could be separated into 25 protein bands without any pretreatment. Proteins having molecular weights from 230,000 to 17,000 were included in these bands. Five protein bands with molecular weights of 170,000, 74,000, 68,000 49,000 and 40,000 were present in all of the 4 urine specimens from normal human subjects. The protein bands with molecular weights of 170,000, 68,000 were identified by the immunoblotting technique as IgG and albumin, respectively.
